Bibhutibhusan Bandyapadhaya

Bibhutibhusan Bandyapadhaya is the brightest name in the field of Bengali literature. He was born on 12th September in 1894. His father was Mahananda Bandyapadhaya and Mrinalini Devi was his mother. He completed his early education at Bangaon High School. Then he passed his intermediate and graduation from Ripon college. which is now known as Surendranath college of Kolkata. He started his career as a Headmaster at Jangipara High School. Later he became the headmaster of Harinavi Anglo-Sanskrit Institution. He wrote many novels like Pather Panchali, Aparajito, Aranyak, Debjan, lcchamati, Chander Pahar etc. These are the finest example of the flourishment of bengali literature and these made him famous. However this great person breathed his last on 1st November in 1950. We will remember him for ever.
